Same here. Most towns have a local government but in towns or areas where there is either a small or relatively tered population, there is no local government(they are called unincorporated areas or towns), and there are usually regional district or county governments. I live in an unincorporated area and I would vote for people in the regional district government.

What I mean to say is, wouldn't the most adaptable creature take center stage and eventually overtake everything else, especially over the course of millions of years? Why are there thousands of different types of birds, when by evolution only a few species should be superior and therefore exist. Question about oil heat?

We have oil heat which powers a boiler generating steam. There are radiators in every room of the house. My question is, does shutting off the valve of a radiator in a room we're not using save oil and hence money? Will shutting off valves actually decrease the amount of steam produced which in turn means less oil burned? Or is the same amount of steam still being produced but just re-routed? How do you stop a pony jumping out of her field?

My 13.2hh 23yo retired jumping pony has recently had laminitus for the first time and now has to live in a fenced off area of the field to keep her off the lush gr (which is awaiting farmer to cut for hay) She is out with my horse and there are no other horses in the fields. It is electric fencing and has the highest stakes I could buy, the fence stands at 4' 6''. Problem is she just trots up and pops over it like its nothing and then eats as much lush gr as she can before she will eventually let me catch her and put her back in where we start the process again. Question about the American University of London?

I live in Kuwait and have joined the American University of London two years ago. Along those two years there has always been a lot of suspicion about this so called university. It's not accredited but that's not what I'm concerned about. I just read on wikipedia that it was found guilty and fined for deceptively representing itself as a university when it's only an institution. On their website it's mentioned that they are an institution that offers distant learning degrees but the university I joined has a campus and professors and everything and the administration never told me anything about an institute they've always said it's a university. What does that mean? What will the degree I get be like? would it say that I studied in an institute? I'm studying Architecture and on the official website my major isn't even mentioned to be offered. It's not a simple 2 year course it's for 5 years.please if anyone knows ANYTHING about the reputation of this institution please just share with me I really need help from someone who actually lives in the UK.

This is a toughie, something I've spent years looking for. We used an ominous sounding Beethoven piece, fairly certain it's a symphony, for an old film project (the old VHS of which we've never been able to find). It's often stuck in my head, but I've never been able to find it. Has the same feel and emotion as Symphony 4 Op 60 1, but the one in my head doesn't hold the notes as long in the beginning. Kind of has a march to it (well, more ominous funeral march). Majority strings in the beginning. What does a huge boom in your house mean?

There was a boom in my house last night at 11:34 which coincidentally spells hell backwards. lol. Anyways it sounded like someone took a big bowling ball and just dropped it from 4 feet. No one was awake at the time except me. It sounded like it came from the corner of my house under me. Well im a thirteen year old girl and this has been happening to me since i was a little girl. First let me say that i have gone to many doctors and they have send that it's nothing really this is happens to most people, but everyone i have talked with has said im crazy. Not a good felling. That's really something you need to talk to your Doctor about. I do know that slipped disks tend to be chronic probles, meaning recurring. But people who have them DO lead normal lives and can do most of the activities they used to, once it's healed. One thing you REALLY need to do is to give yourself ALL the recovery time the Doc tells you, instead of trying to bike again TOO SOON. That could do further damage that might keep you from ever being able to do it again. Just follow your Doc's orders, especially when it comes to healing time. And ask HIM about what you'll be able to do once you recover. Best of luck to you.

2001 Chevy S10 Extreme?

My husband got an 01 s10 4.3 automatic. The check engine light is on and we took it to auto zone, and they said it's the secondary air injection system fault. Does anyone know what this could be? Probable causes could be circuit relay or fuse open, check connection and wiring or air pump defective or hose blocked. They did one of those check engine scans. My husband has already changed the air filter and a pcv vowel, but it keeps coming back on. We have to have it MD inspected within 30 days before the tags expire and my husband is leaving for the military in less than two weeks.

I have four finches: two boys and two girls. For the past few months, they have been happily co-living and even separated into couples. They do lay eggs, but none have hatched. About four days ago, one of the males (lets call him Joe) had got stuck in his nest and hurt his beak. The other male (Bob) was flying at him and attacking him while he was stuck and this is how it caught my attention. Well, I helped Joe get free and both the females were fussing over him, helping him clean off the blood from where he hurt himself. Everything seemed to be back to normal until yesterday when I came home to find Bob dead and covered in blood. I believe that he was killed by one of the other birds (possibly Joe?) and now Bob's girlfriend is very sad, won't go in their nest where they have an egg, etc. I'm just not sure what to do. WHY do i consume the amount of water i do?

15 minutes is a long time to spend in the shower every single day. Cutting that down to 10 would help a lot (5 would be ideal). Always turn off the water when you brush your teeth. The water only needs to be on for a second to wet your toothbrush. Why leave it on? Don't worry about the water you drink (though you should get a brita instead of bottled, because the plastic bottles are very wasteful) That seems like an awful lot of laundry. I guess with that just make sure to wait until you have a full load. Maybe someday get a washer that uses less water (front loading ones tend to use less)

Looking for a sci-fi movie?

When I was a kid (back in the 60's-70's), there were certain films that played a LOT on the afternoon movie shows. One film was a science fiction thing from (I believe) the early-mid 60's, possibly the late 50's. It involved a spaceship from Earth visiting the planet Venus and finding it inhabited by a civilization of only women. Now the strange thing is that I seem to remember seeing this movie in TWO different versions - one in which the astronauts (all men, of course) encountered and dealt with the women, and the other in which they never actually saw them, and the only glimpse we ever got of them was just at the very end. I haven't seen either of these since about '74 or so, so I'm probably just remembering two very similar movies. I'm afraid that's all I remember about them, but it's been driving me nuts for years now. Does anyone know what I'm remembering? (I'm from L.A., and the movies would have played on the afternoon movie shows on KTLA, KCOP or KCAL.)

Mitosis is cell division for somatic cells( every other kind of cell). In Mitosis there is a preceding step called interphase. Interphase is broken up into 3 phases. First there is G1 phase. This is cell growth. Then there is S phase which is synthesis and replication of DNA. Lastly there is G2 phase which is where DNA errors are fixed. In G2 phase there is 4n chromosomes since the chromosome number had to be doubled so in cell division the daughter cells have 2n chromosomes. In Mitosis there is prophase where chromatin condenses into chromosomes and sister chromatids. Then in Metaphase the chromosomes line up along the metaphesal plate. Then in anaphase the sister chromatids are pulled apart to opposing sides of the cell. In telophase a cell membrane is created between both sides of the cell and then in cytokinesis occurs and the cell splits into two new somatic daughter cells.

My face is like ALWAYS red. especially after pe.
