I have heard rumours my new bf is a convicted paedophile. Is it possible to check if this is true?

I met my new boyfriend a few months ago and ever since we started dating I have heard rumours that he is a paedophile. I have had about 100 people tell me he was in court for various child allegations and everyone I have spoke to has given very similar details. Now it's not just hearsay because one woman malied me a newspaper cutting with his picture on and his name underneath and details of a court case in which he was being sent to court for the suspected of his 4 and six year old daughters. Also a young girl of 11 wrote to me to tell me she had been ually abused by him from the ages of 5-9. Now why would you send something like that? I could find many articles on the court case but none of the eventual outcome so don't know if he was found guilty or not. Is there anyway I can find out? We were thinking of having a baby together so I really need to know soon because I've heard that if you have a baby when living with a paedophile you have to give it to socail services
