When is the latest Al Gore can declare a candidacy for President and still get on the essential ballots?

Obviously someone like Gore can enter the race and still be in the running much later than almost everyone else, considering his recognition, but what would be the latest realistic time-frame considering he has to file to be on certain ballots for primaries, and, presumably, raise money.
