Can you help me figure out which Beethoven piece this is?

This is a toughie, something I've spent years looking for. We used an ominous sounding Beethoven piece, fairly certain it's a symphony, for an old film project (the old VHS of which we've never been able to find). It's often stuck in my head, but I've never been able to find it. Has the same feel and emotion as Symphony 4 Op 60 1, but the one in my head doesn't hold the notes as long in the beginning. Kind of has a march to it (well, more ominous funeral march). Majority strings in the beginning. I don't expect you to necessarily know it, but if you can suggest some of his other pieces that begin like Symphony 4 Op 60 1, or others that have a darker more foreboding beginning. Think ominous, not too high energy.
